Another Day at Garden of the Gods
February 27, 2024
I'm back again. Sorry, have had lots of appointments lately and a couple funerals this week. Today is another scrapbook page from Garden of the Gods. There are so many different places to see in that 1341 acre park!
The kids had a great time crawling into small spaces. And yes, sometimes, I just like to throw all the pictures together. No frame, just pictures with some added embellishments. However, I did one thing, that isn't always the easiest to do. Although the it's hard to see in the picture above, I took a close-up at an angle to show you in the second one below.
For this I had to print the same photo twice and carefully cut out one of them of just the family. I then used foam adhesive squares, you can use circles, or Stampin Up's dimensionals. Any of these can be cut to fit the pieces you need to raise up the picture or use a whole one in bigger areas. Unless you want some to be a different height, use the same kind for the whole picture. Some are shorter than others. Then cover the original picture with the layered one. This can also be done to die cuts and other items to give them dimension too. Another trick I used was to melt Perler beads in the oven and I glued the orange and yellow ones between the triangles at the top. There are several places on the internet and Pintrest that will instruct you on how to melt the beads. Remember they do release toxic fumes in the oven, so if you do it, please use precautions.
I hope you liked today's scrapbook page.

Bonjour! A little bit of Paris
February 2, 2024
Happy Ground Hog Day! Today's page I had some fun with. Since she was all dressed up from church and wanted her photo taken, I thought a dressed up page was in order. She would love to travel to Paris some day. We do have some French in our heritage. I actually ordered a Stampin' Up! stamp set in French. There's only two stamps with words, and the rest are pictures, so I used the bonjour on the tag. The Eiffel Tower and chandelier are from Cricut and I stamped so many different stamps all over the page.
Maybe someday I'll be able to make her a scrapbook of her trip to France. Maybe she'll even take me with her. I would have a lot of fun doing both!
